Characteristics and uses:
The introduction of allyl group made the cyclodextrin with a double
bond functional group. It is possible to polymerize on the basis of
double bonds, and allyl cyclodextrin is one of the important
monomers for the synthesis of Cyclodextrin Polymers (CDPs). CDPs
can be used not only as a chiral stationary phase for
chromatographic separation, but also widely used in organic
synthesis, pharmaceutical industry, environmental protection and
new materials. Moreover, it can be further added, oxidized and
reduced to provide an important intermediate for the derivatization
over 3 carbon outside the cyclodextrin ring. For example, the
synthesis of more complex cyclodextrin derivatives and the
construction of complex supramolecular systems can be easily
realized by the click reaction of thiol olefin. At the same time,
the PI bonds of the rich electrons can also be used in the
development of the cyclodextrin catalytic system and the ligand.
